Cake Stuff

Here are my new business labels for Christie's Sweet Treats! Aren't they adorable? I think that they are just perfect. Because my business colors are actually hot pink and black! I was so excited when I ordered them and waited and waited and they finally came two weeks later! By UPS! I thought they were supposed to be fast....Brad told me to get them sent priority mail next time...they would get here in about 7 days!
Ok, Mom and I started cake decorating classes two weeks ago. And we absolutely love it! Our instructor is an older lady named Betty. She is so sweet! She is actually a mixture of both of my grandmothers! I think that's so cool. And let me tell you, she is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to cake decorating, baking and anything in between. These are some of my roses I made when I got home. They are sitting on my Martha Stewart professional turntable that Brad got me for Christmas last year. Thanks Brad, it's one of my favorite presents I have ever gotten!
More of the same roses! I can't believe I know how to make roses!
Ok, the blue roses are mine and the purple are what Mom made. This is what we made in two and a half hours! We learned this Tuesday night, which was our second class. I have always wanted to know how to make roses and now I do! Anyone want a cake filled with roses? Haha
I'm gonna make a video and show the world how easy it is to make these!
And this beautiful mixer is "Cinnnamon"! Brad named it. It is brand new and it's a professional 6 quart KitchenAid. It is so wonderful mixing frosting in this. It's so quick!
And this is a side view of "Cinnamon". I have needed a new mixer since VBS, when I made those cupcakes. Can you believe that my mixer went out during the first batch of about 6 batches of buttercream icing? Yes, you can believe it....because....Satan was trying to make me give up! Nope, not me.....I'll just try harder. My shoulder was about like jello but, everyone at VBS had their mystery snack. Anyway, I hope ya'll enjoyed all of my talking about cakes and stuff:)
